Dr. Manickavasagan Annamalai,

Bioimaging Research Solutions was founded in 2021 by Dr. Manickavasagan Annamalai - a enthusiastic bioimaging researcher. Manick obtained his PhD in Biosystems engineering from the University of Manitoba, and worked seven years with food industries. At present, he is an Associate Professor at the University of Guelph. He has published more than 75 scientific papers in peer-reviewed journals and edited 9 books. His book on “Imaging with electromagnetic spectrum – Applications in food and agriculture” is popular among various groups in food production system. He is the recipient of several national and international awards for his contribution in research and food industries. Manick continues to assemble a team of experts with proficiency in fields spanning the food production system.

Singam Suranjoy Singh
Singam received his M.Tech. (Food Process Engineering) from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur. He has diversified experience in pre-harvest and post-harvest  agricultural operations. At present, he is a PhD scholar at the University of Guelph. His research interests are processing and characterization of biomass.
​Rathna Priya Thangaraj Sundaramurthy
Rathna completed her M.Tech. (Food Technology) from the Anna University, India. She is currently working as a PhD Scholar at the University of Guelph. Her research interests are development of bioimaging techniques for detecting mycotoxins in grains.
Sindhu
Sindhu obtained her M.Tech. (Food Technology and Management) from the National Institute of Food Technology Entrepreneurship and Management (NIFTEM), Ministry of Food Processing Industries, India. Currently, she is a PhD scholar at the University of Guelph and her research expertise is non-destructive detection of pesticides in the farm produces
Sonu Sharma
Sonu received his M.Tech. (Food Process Engineering) from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur.
At present, he is a Ph.D. scholar at the University of Guelph.
His research interests are protein extraction, bioactive peptides, drying techniques, protein valorization from food wastes and byproducts.
MACHINE LEARNING
Dr. Adeyemi O. Adegbenjo, PhD
Dr. Adeyemi is a McGill University trained expert in Bioresource Engineering. He leads researches using non-destructive technologies for anomaly detections and fast quality assessment of food products towards safety. He is a member of various professional bodies including American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers (ASABE), Canadian Society for Bioengineering (CSBE), Council for Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN), Nigerian Institution of Agricultural Engineers (NIAE), and the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE)
Dhritiman Saha
Dhritiman obtained his M.Tech. (Dairy and Food Engineering) from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur. He has over 8 years of research experience as a Scientist with Tea Board (India) and Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR). At present, he is a PhD scholar at the University of Guelph, and working in the field of artificial intelligence involving the applications of machine learning techniques for  determining food quality.
FOOD SCIENCE & NUTRITION
Dr. Amanat Ali
Dr. Amanat Ali received his PhD from the University of Bonn, Germany. He has more than 40 years of teaching and research experience in the areas of animal nutrition, human nutrition and food sciences. He received the titles of Professional Agrologist (P. Ag) and Certified Agricultural Consultant (CAC). He has worked globally at various reputable teaching and research institutions and in industries in Pakistan, Germany, Saudi Arabia, Oman, and Canada. He is currently working as a Visiting Research Professor at the University of Guelph. He has published more than 150 research papers in reputable journals.
